Assessment Event
Romania
June 23rd to 26th 2026
What is an ESEAT Assessment Event?
A 4-day event built around the final stage of the CNVC Certification Journey. A group of Certification Candidates show their readiness to step into the role of Certified Trainer, supported by Assessors and Community Members. As such it is a hugely rich learning space for all who take part, culminating in a celebration of a group of new Trainers.
If you attend as a Community Member, you will get an enriching and unique NVC learning experience – whether you are already a Certified Trainer, on your way to become a Certified Trainer or exploring if this path is for you.
As a Community Member you will get a chance to deepen and develop your NVC skills and awareness while focusing on the candidates. We will all work to build an event full of feedback and learning as we support the next generation of trainers – and ensure the integrity of NVC. You will be invited, at certain times, to offer your skills in role plays and practice presentations and to give feedback and through the whole event to hold the space with NVC consciousness.
Questions we will invite you to focus on:
- What is the experience like for candidates?
- How do we DO assessment in NVC in partnership?
- What would support you to be fully present and fully yourself?
- How can you work on your personal learning edges?
- How do we relate to authority?
Facilitators
CNVC Assessors Ian Peatey, Dionne Verbeet and Anniken Poulsen Beer will be your facilitators. They work together as part of the English Speaking European Assessor Team (ESEAT).
Location
Pensiunea Daneluta

ROMANIA
The venue is a private guest house with 12 rooms (double beds) in the Romanina mountains. There are additional rooms available in neighbouring guest houses.
Places are strictly limited.
It is 40km from Brasov International Airport (approx. €40) or 170km from Bucharest.
We will provide detailed guidance on various options how to get there closer to the time. We will facilitate ride sharing where possible – it is important to us that you arrive safely.
About Money
Each event requires a budget of several thousands of euros (to honour the work of the assessors, the amount of organisation and to cover costs of travel, accommodation and food for the team, to pay for the venue etc). We do not (yet) know how to organise such events without using money. We hope that everyone will consciously and wholeheartedly get involved in this process of financial co-responsibility.
We ask for two amounts of money:
1. Accommodation and Costs
In addition to your own room and food, this covers a variety of areas and expenses of the assessor and host, such as accommodation, travel, meals and refreshments (tea, coffees, snacks), tourist taxes. administration of the event etc..
2. Tuition
We ask Community Members to contribute tuition and Final Candidates to pay their Assessment Fee on a sliding scale. This money goes to the Assessors and Hosts to recognise their contribution. The amount asked supports the sustainability of our work and these events.
